A LAVIYU DAY?
Dear LaviYu fan, I am addressing you on a matter which I believe could and should be solved, and I'm doing that because I want YOUR support.
As we all know, some certain pairings have its own 'weeks' and stuff like that, and several of our fellow fans repeatedly brought that up to me, "Why don't we have something like that?" And then I thought - really, why?
Lack of organization could be a reason - then again, so could be the simple being too cool to care about stuff like events. While this is a risky step, celebrations like that not necessarily have to show fandom's insecurity; it can be just another opportunity for the fans to do some good stuff in an organized manner.
Therefore, this is the idea that several of us fans have come up with:
A LaviYu day. Week is difficult to pick a suitable date for, and the 64 days between Lavi's and Kanda's birthdays seem like a bit too much - though it can mark the beginning of preparations and the finish of anticipations of a 'LaviYu festival', in the end it should circle around one particular day. (Like, there's a Street Music day, a Weed Day and other great holidays XD).
Our best pick for the date is July 8th, because it's exactly in the middle of Lavi and Kanda's birthdays (and because July is the month of love). See for yourself:
Month choosing: (6 [June] + 8 [August]) : 2 = 14 : 2 = 7 [July].
Day choosing: (06 + 10) : 2 = 16 : 2 = 8.
This is it.
Of course we don't want this idea to crash and burn, therefore we're spreading the word, and we want feedback. I personally think it's a good idea, so if you guys are ready to follow, we might yet carry this out.
It's very simple - all you have to do is let the internets know that you're a LaviYu fan on that particular day. Post your fanworks, put on a LaviKanda set in your forums, you might even run around with white panties that have 'I LAVI YU' written over it on your head, it's up to you. Just be creative and pay the honors!
And if you can't manage to post on that very particular day, you can still do it within the 'festival'. It's never too late to show love!
